The Abraham Lincoln Exhibit was installed about fifteen years ago by the Milwaukee Public Museum Exhibit Department for the Fort Atkinson Historical Society. Its numerous exhibit cases help visitors understand the connection between Abraham Lincoln and Fort Koshkonong and his involvement here in the Black Hawk War during the summer of 1832. Other cases review United States Civil War history. More than 1,400 non-circulating books about the Civil War line the shelves of this room. Visitors are welcome to refer to these materials during the museum's operating hours. |
